The Business Need/Challenge

Halo manufacture both configurable and completely bespoke products and each sales order is as a result of a detailed client assessment by a qualified orthotist.

Following initial manufacture, clients attend a fitting after which the products are either revised, pending a further fitting, or completed.

Having previously operated a collection of legacy systems, Halo required an integrated solution to manage the sales cycle from initial appointments with clients through to finish manufacture. At the same time, client records would be maintained to give full traceability of prescriptions and purchases and to help with subsequent orders.

The Solution

Halo worked with Microsoft partner Probitas Enterprise Solutions to implement a Dynamics NAV ERP solution. Probitas undertook a detailed analysis of the business and processes and, together with Halo, designed an implementation focussed on improving efficiency. 

Sales orders are now tracked from the initial enquiry and appointment, with progress of the manufacturing process controlled via barcoded shop-floor data collection. This includes the temporary despatch to the client for fitting, through to final shipment and invoicing.
